The house

The 1,375-square-foot condo has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, an open living and dining great room, and a wrap-around lanai adjoining a grassy area. Large windows frame ocean views, and the lanai offers outdoor seating and dining.

The primary bedroom has a king bed, ceiling fan, central air conditioning, an ensuite bathroom and private lanai access. The guest bedroom has two twin beds convertible to a king upon request, a ceiling fan, central air conditioning and lanai access. Both bedrooms have ocean and mountain views. The guest bedroom also has a chaise lounge suitable for a small child. The great room includes a queen-sized rollaway sofa bed. Maximum occupancy remains four guests.

The kitchen includes a refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, blender, rice cooker, ice machine, dishes and utensils. Counter seating supplements the dining area. Central air conditioning, ceiling fans, an in-unit washer and dryer, linens, a Smart TV, satellite or cable TV, DVD player, stereo and high-speed Wi-Fi are provided.

A private one-car garage contains beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and a cooler. Beach towels, mats and a beach bag are also provided; additional beach equipment rentals are available for a fee. The Kumulani community pool, hot tub and shaded pavilion are steps from the residence.

Optional Mauna Kea Resort amenity access can be arranged directly through Mauna Kea Services for an additional daily fee paid to the resort, subject to availability and seasonal restrictions. Guest registration is required. Resort spa services, fitness center, golf, tennis, kids programs, restaurants, shops and bar carry additional charges; cultural activities are also listed among resort amenities. Mauna Kea Beach, Hapuna Beach, golf courses, dining and shopping are a short drive away. A car is recommended.
