The house

This 860-square-foot condo has two bedrooms, each with its own full ensuite bathroom. The primary bedroom has a king bed and private lanai access; the guest bedroom has a queen bed. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans and central air conditioning. The living room provides additional sleeping space, a TV and lanai access.

The open-plan living area opens through large sliding doors to a furnished wrap-around lanai with ocean, mountain and town views, including views toward Mokuaikaua Church. The lanai has a dining table for four and loungers. The upgraded kitchen has new appliances, generous counter space and an island seating two, with a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher and small appliances.

Central air conditioning, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, a full-size washer and dryer, beach towels and beach chairs are provided. Entertainment includes television, DVD, satellite or cable TV, a smart TV and a speaker system. Kona Plaza has a shared community pool, sun deck and courtyard, plus secure underground parking. One parking stall is free; additional stalls incur a fee and depend on availability.

Restaurants, shops, the Farmers Market, Kona Pier and beaches are within walking distance. Coffee farms, snorkeling spots, cultural sites and historic landmarks are a short drive away. A car is recommended.
