The house

Keauhou Akahi 302 has a private ground-floor lanai opening onto a wide lawn overlooking the Kona Country Club fairways. Outdoor seating and a dining table provide space for meals outside, with golf-course, mountain, tropical garden and peekaboo ocean views. The low-rise community has a shared pool overlooking the Pacific, a short walk from the condo.

The primary bedroom has a king bed, ceiling fan, portable air conditioning and an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower. The guest bedroom has a queen Murphy bed and doubles as flexible living space during the day. Sliding doors separate it from the main living area, and Shoji doors open to the lanai. Its full bathroom, with a walk-in shower, is across the hall. Portable air conditioning is provided in both bedrooms; the main living areas have ceiling fans.

The fully equipped kitchen has bamboo cabinetry, granite countertops, a refrigerator and freezer, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, coffee grinder, kettle, toaster, blender and rice cooker. A dining area and BBQ are also available. The condo includes an in-unit washer and dryer, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, smart television and satellite or cable television. Beach chairs, beach towels, a beach umbrella, boogie boards and an ice chest are provided. Starter essentials are supplied for arrival; extended stays may require additional supplies.

The condo is between Kailua-Kona and Captain Cook, with Kona Country Club next door. Nearby destinations include Keauhou Bay, Kahalu'u Beach Park, Kealakekua Bay, Two Step Beach and Pu'uhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park. Kona International Airport is approximately 20 minutes away. There are approximately 20 stairs between parking and the entrance, despite the ground-floor setting, and no elevator.
