The house

The 1,000-square-foot condo accommodates up to five guests and has ocean and Diamond Head views. Floor-to-ceiling windows, wood flooring, a lanai and an open living and dining area overlook the water. A sliding wood wall provides optional privacy between the bedroom and living area. Sleeping furnishings include two queen beds and a full-size sleeper sofa. The bathroom has a double vanity and a walk-in glass shower.

The kitchenette includes a full-size refrigerator, cooktop, Miele coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher, oven, freezer, rice cooker, dishes and utensils. A breakfast bar seats four, alongside a separate dining nook. Entertainment includes Wi-Fi, a flat-screen smart TV and a PlayStation 3 with games. Ceiling fans and portable air conditioning are provided; an additional portable A/C unit is available upon request.

Colony Surf has secure entry, a lobby lounge, elevators, outdoor rinse showers, on-site laundry facilities and Michel’s at the Colony Surf restaurant. Free parking and a garage are offered. Beach towels and chairs are provided, and beach equipment rentals are available for an additional charge.

Kapiolani Park, Honolulu Zoo, Waikiki Aquarium and local cafés are within walking reach. Diamond Head hiking, Ala Moana Center and Waikiki nightlife are a short drive away. The condo is offered as a monthly rental with a 30-day minimum stay. The property is currently for sale, and the manager coordinates showings at convenient times.
