The house

Built in 1985 and renovated in 2016, this grass-roofed holiday home stands on a 1,858 m² natural plot beside the last row of dunes. Its light walls, ceilings and wooden floors are paired with simple furnishings. Three bedrooms provide two double beds and two single beds; there are two bathrooms with underfloor heating.

Indoor facilities include a wood-burning stove, sauna, two-person drainable whirlpool bath, electric heating and an air-to-air heat pump. The kitchen has a refrigerator, dishwasher, oven/stove and separate 50-litre freezer. A washing machine and tumble dryer are available. The living room has a flat-screen television, Apple TV, German satellite channels, a CD player and a DVD player. Free fibre internet and Wi-Fi are available.

Outside, there is a screened terrace, garden furniture, sun loungers, a charcoal barbecue, a sandbox and a swing. The sandy North Sea beach is a 100-metre walk away, and the surrounding area offers walking and cycling. Søndervig lies to the south, with shops, restaurants and activities including Lalandia. Houvig has an organic farm shop selling local produce and delicatessen products.
