Island Lake Lodge is in the East Kootenay, just outside Fernie, British Columbia. The lodge has 26 guestrooms and spacious common areas. Catskiing guests ride a snowcat 8 km to the lodge. Catskiing tours include a daily breakfast buffet, on-mountain lunch, après and a three-course dining experience. Tamarack Lodge is identified as the main lodge, with its dining room and spa; its guestroom types include King or two Queens, with balconies in select rooms and ensuite bathrooms with a shower and soaker tub. The lodge's summer activities include hiking. Summer spa, dining events and vehicle access are subject to the Private Functions calendar.
