## About the house

The apartment has a living room with exposed wooden ceiling beams, a sofa, two armchairs and a flat-screen TV. The kitchen includes a dishwasher, fridge-freezer, kettle, oven and hob, and the separate dining room seats four.

There are two en-suite bedrooms: one with a king-size bed and one with a super-king bed that can be split into two singles on request before arrival. Bed linens are provided. One en-suite has a bathtub, separate shower, WC and washbasin; the other has a shower, basin and WC. Children’s books and toys and a carbon monoxide detector are provided.

Guests have use of the full apartment and private rear parking for one vehicle. The outdoor space is semi-enclosed and unsuitable for sitting in. An occupied apartment is above Iris Cottage.

Pickering has independent shops, cafés, restaurants, pubs and bars. Pickering railway station, serving the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, is a 10-minute walk away. The nearest mainline railway station is in Malton, eight miles away. Pickering has bus routes to York, Malton, Thirsk, Helmsley, Whitby, Scarborough and Leeds.
