The hotel

Hotel Yuli has 20 Bohemian-inspired rooms across ten categories, with private bathrooms, natural materials and open-air spaces. The Tropical Oasis Suite is 35 m² with a king bed, sofa bed and private hot tub for two guests. Double Queen rooms are 35 m² with two queen beds for four guests. The 35 m² triple-twin category accommodates three guests and has a pool-view balcony. King and Queen Pool View Balcony categories are 27 m² for two guests. The ground-floor Family Jungle Apartment is 40 m² with a king bed and kitchenette for two guests.

The 27 m² pool-view twin category has two twin beds for two guests. Explorer Bunk Loft is 40 m² with twin mattresses, a balcony and occupancy for six. Cozy Queen Retreat is 20 m² with a queen bed and pool-view balcony for two; Cozy Twin Retreat is 18 m² with a twin bed, pool view and work desk for one.

Facilities include a swimming pool, coworking space, shared cooking space, parking, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, laundry service, washer, luggage storage, daily housekeeping and reception service. There is also a lawn, outdoor shower, microwave and refrigerator. Wellness facilities include an open-air yoga studio and the Harmony Room for massage, sound therapy and holistic treatments, with indoor and outdoor spaces for retreats and events.

Aura is the hotel's open-air restaurant and bar, built around a mango tree and serving seasonal, locally sourced food, seafood and cocktails. Breakfast is served daily from 07:00–09:00, lunch and poolside service from 12:00–16:00, and dinner from 18:00–21:00. Dinner reservations are recommended. Guests showing their room key receive 10% off food at lunch and dinner.

The hotel is away from the busy main road, close to the village centre and bus station, and a five-minute walk from the Marino Ballena National Park entrance. The beach is 250 m away. The recommended drive from San José takes approximately 3½ hours on paved roads and flat terrain; a 4×4 is not needed. Solar thermal heating supplies the hotel's hot water, and treated greywater is reused for garden irrigation.
