The house

Hotel Sonora is a jungle hotel and yoga retreat in Playa Negra, Puerto Viejo, on Costa Rica's Caribbean coast. Rooms include Tropical Bungalows, with a king bed, a single bed and a large terrace; Caribbean Studios, with a queen bed, a single sofa bed and their own kitchen; and Standard Rooms, with a queen bed and a terrace. Every room has a private bathroom with shower, stonewashed linen towels and natural bath products, and breakfast is included on a double-occupancy basis. The on-site restaurant currently serves breakfast only. The hotel has a swimming pool, a massage space, a yoga shala that hosts retreats and occasional classes, and lush tropical gardens. Retreat leaders can book the whole hotel for groups.
