House rules

The primary renter must be at least 28. Smoking and pets are prohibited. Maximum occupancy is 12. Additional persons require express approval; an additional fee of $80 per person per night may apply. Events require express approval. Events, commercial activities, other non-traditional uses and rotating guest groups require prior written host approval and may incur additional fees or an increased security deposit. Utility fees are included, but guests are responsible for excessive utility usage. For reservations longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. The fireplace is not for guest use. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. Following cancellation, an attempt may be made to rebook the original dates at the owner's discretion. If the dates are rebooked at the same or higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement reservation. If no replacement reservation is made, guests may use the original dates provided scheduled payments are made and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before arrival. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; payments over $3,500 must be made by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 in damage protection, with coverage details in the booking agreement. The owner may arrange showings to prospective renters or buyers, seeking to provide advance notice and reasonable daytime scheduling.

Getting there

The home has bedrooms on the second floor, main floor and lower level and is not handicap accessible. Outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking about availability of outdoor furniture and equipment; spring cleaning and updates typically occur in late April or early May.
