# High Street Hideaway New Milford, Connecticut, United States (general area) ## About the house The home accommodates six guests across three bedrooms, including a first-floor media room/guest room with a sofa bed. Upstairs, the primary bedroom has a queen bed and walk-in closet, while the second bedroom has two double/full beds. All three bedrooms have air conditioning and streaming TVs. Each upstairs bedroom also has a desk, chair and monitor with an HDMI cord. The media room has a 65-inch smart TV and Sonos sound bar. Two full bathrooms, one on each floor, have shower/tub combinations. Trees surround the approximately 1,500-square-foot home. The large uncovered deck has tables, chairs, umbrellas, four lounge chairs, string lights and citronella tiki torches. Outdoor features include a gas grill, wood-burning fire pit, bar and games. A phone-controlled Sonos system serves the home and deck. The stocked kitchen includes a stove, oven, refrigerator, ice maker, dishwasher, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, toaster, blender, cookware, dishes and silverware. Bed linens, bath towels and pool/beach towels are provided, along with two beach chairs, a beach umbrella and cooler. Town, restaurants, shopping and parks are an eight-minute walk away. Candlewood Lake and Lynn Deming Beach are a ten-minute drive away; Lake Waramaug and Bantam Lake are a twenty-minute drive away. Exterior cameras are located at the front and back of the house. The homeowner manages on-site operations and guest communication after booking. The backyard is not fenced. The basement is normally off limits for owner storage. Exterior cameras are positioned at the front and back of the house. Ask before booking about outdoor furniture and equipment outside Memorial Day through Labor Day. The primary renter must be at least 28 years old. Smoking is not allowed. Events are prohibited. Events, commercial activities, rotating guest groups and other non-traditional uses require prior written approval and may incur additional fees or an increased security deposit. Additional guests require express approval and may incur a $250.00 per-person, per-night fee. Stays longer than seven nights require one cleaning per week at the guest's expense, at $200 per occurrence. Winter stays require snow plowing whenever accumulation exceeds one inch, at $150 per occurrence; cleaning and plowing can be scheduled at your convenience. No diving is allowed. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers with advance notice and efforts to schedule during reasonable daytime hours. ## Property questions ## How do I obtain a Lynn Deming Beach day pass? Resident day passes cost $10 per person/day; walk-in residents are free. Non-resident passes cost $25 per person/day. Purchase passes at the Parks & Recreation Offices, 47 Bridge Street, New Milford, Monday–Friday from 7:30am to 4pm. Passes are valid for any day of the season and collected at the gate. No day passes are sold at the beach gate. ## What is the cancellation policy? Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. Following cancellation, Marquis will use best efforts to work with the owner to reopen and rebook the original dates; reopening is the owner's decision. If those dates are rebooked at the same or higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the original reservation total is issued after the replacement reservation is paid in full. If no replacement reservation is made, the original dates may still be used if payments are current and Marquis is notified in writing at least 72 hours before arrival. ## Is there damage protection? In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 of damage protection. Coverage details are provided in the booking agreement. ## How can balance payments be made? Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500. Payments over $3,500 must be made by check, ACH or wire.
