House rules

The booking guest must be at least 21 years old. Maximum occupancy is six at all times, counting all persons including infants, children and visitors. Pets are prohibited; undisclosed pets brought without approval incur a $500 fine per pet. Smoking is prohibited; violations incur a $500 additional-cleaning fee, plus responsibility for smoking-related damages beyond that fee. Respect neighbors and keep noise levels down; noise violations may result in fines. Speakers and sound systems are not provided. The deck fireplace and indoor fireplace are unavailable for use; the other exterior firepit is available. Bookings over 30 days require a security deposit charged after booking.

Getting there

The home sits directly on Harrington Lagoon with direct lagoon access, just outside Coupeville. Parking is limited to four mid-sized vehicles, parallel parked in front of the home; no parking is allowed in the boat ramp area. Naval flyovers can be very loud. Flight training occurs on a few weekdays each month and occasionally in the evening; no training takes place on weekends or holidays, and schedules are typically published one week ahead. Washington's Department of Ecology determined that the property's water source contains high levels of per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). A water softener and carbon filtration system are installed, but may not eliminate most exposure risks. Booking constitutes acceptance of the PFAS exposure risks on behalf of all guests.
