The house

First-floor living includes a separate furnished lounge with a wall-mounted Smart TV with Sky, and a kitchen-dining area with a six-seater dining table. Sliding doors open onto wrap-around decking overlooking Akaroa Harbour, with outdoor seating and a BBQ. The kitchen includes an oven, hobs, microwave, fridge-freezer, toaster and dishwasher.

Two first-floor bedrooms each have a double bed. The second-floor master bedroom has a queen-size bed and an ensuite. The first-floor family bathroom has a shower, hand basin and toilet; the second-floor bathroom has a shower over a bath, hand basin and toilet. There is also a separate toilet. Heating consists of a heat pump and three oil heaters; the fireplace is not available for guest use.

Wi-Fi, a washing machine and tumble dryer are available. Linen is included: sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats and tea towels are supplied, along with pillows and duvets. Beds are made before arrival and stripped after departure. The property has ample off-street parking and surrounding green space, including a local park and the Garden of Tane scenic reserve. Waterfront bars and restaurants are a 15-minute walk away, and the local Four Square is a four-minute drive away.
