House rules

Maximum occupancy is 12 guests. Smoking is not allowed. The primary renter must be at least 30 years old; unrelated guest groups are not suitable. One hypoallergenic, non-shedding dog of 50 lbs or less is permitted; other dogs, multiple dogs and other pets require express approval. Events, commercial activities, other non-traditional uses and rotating guest groups require prior written approval; additional fees or an increased security deposit may apply. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $150.00 per reservation night. One light cleaning per eight nights booked and one end-of-stay cleaning are included. Additional cleanings are at the guest's expense. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. If cancellation dates are reopened with the owner's agreement and rebooked for the original dates at the same or a higher price, a refund less 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement reservation. If the dates are not rebooked, guests may use their original dates provided scheduled payments are made and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before the reservation starts. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; larger payments must be by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 of damage protection, subject to the booking agreement. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule reasonable daytime hours.
