House rules

Maximum occupancy is six; no additional persons are permitted. Smoking is not allowed. Events are prohibited. Any proposed event, commercial activity, rotating group or other non-traditional use requires prior written host approval and may incur additional fees or an increased security deposit. Reservations require approval before confirmation. One dog of 150 lbs or less is permitted for an additional $150.00 per booking; larger dogs, multiple dogs and other pets require express approval. The additional-fee schedule specifies $150 per dog per booking. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $50.00 per night of the reservation. One end-of-stay cleaning is included. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. Spring cleaning and updates typically take place in late April or early May. For stays outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking about the availability of outdoor furniture and equipment. Unless otherwise stated, payments are non-refundable. Following cancellation, Marquis will attempt to work with the owner to reopen and rebook the original dates; reopening is at the owner's discretion. If the dates are rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a 20% penalty on the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement booking is collected. If no replacement reservation is made, the original stay may still be used provided scheduled payments are made and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before arrival. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; larger payments must be by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 in damage protection, subject to the booking agreement. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with efforts to give advance notice and arrange reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

Bay beaches and downtown Sag Harbor are minutes away; hiking trails and public golf courses are nearby. The home is not handicap accessible and is not suitable for unrelated guests. The primary renter must be at least 30 years old.
