The house

Hale Ola accommodates up to 12 guests in five bedrooms. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame ocean views, and separate family and living rooms connect to a dining area with seating for eight. The updated kitchen has Koa wood cabinetry, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, dual ovens, multiple refrigerators and cookware.

The primary bedroom has ocean and garden views, a sitting area, wet bar, mini fridge, coffee maker, walk-in closet and private lanai. Its ensuite includes a rain shower and jetted soaking tub. Guest Bedroom 2 has an adjacent den. The guest bedrooms have garden views; all five bedrooms have zoned air conditioning, ceiling fans and ensuite facilities.

Outside are shaded lanais, seating, tropical gardens, a lawn, a koi pond with cascading waterfalls, an outdoor shower and a private electrically heated saltwater pool overlooking Diamond Head. A BBQ grill, smart TVs, washer/dryer, high-speed mesh Wi-Fi, beach towels, chairs, boogie boards, a cooler and beach umbrella are available. Additional beach equipment rentals are available for a charge.

Local shops, dining, coastal viewpoints and ocean access are within walking distance. Hanauma Bay, Maunalua Bay watersports, China Walls and Koko Marina shopping and dining are a short drive away. A car is recommended. The property is offered as a monthly rental with a flat $1,000 utility fee.
