House rules

The primary renter must be at least 30 years old. Smoking is not allowed. Additional persons require express approval. Events are prohibited; any proposed event, commercial activity, non-traditional use or rotating guest groups requires prior written host approval and may incur additional fees or an increased security deposit. Reservations require approval before confirmation. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $115.00 per reservation night. One end-of-stay cleaning is included. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. A refundable cash security deposit of $3,000 is required, governed by a separate agreement signed by the owner and guest before check-in. Balance payments by credit card are capped at $3,500; larger payments must be made by check, ACH or wire. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. Following cancellation, Marquis will use best efforts to work with the owner to reopen the dates, at the owner's discretion. If the original dates are rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement booking. If no replacement reservation is made, guests may use their original dates if payments meet the agreed schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before arrival. The owner may need to show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule during reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

A beach is a stroll away. The guest-house sleeping area and two main-house bedrooms are on the second floor. Outdoor furniture and equipment may be seasonal; inquire before booking outside Memorial Day to Labor Day. Spring cleaning and updates typically occur in late April or early May.
