# Great Circle Serenity Shelter Island, NY, United States (general area) ## About the house The approximately 2,500-square-foot home accommodates up to 10 guests. The main house has three bedrooms on the first/main floor and two upstairs. A separate additional sleeping area on the guest house's second floor has a king bed, air conditioning and an ensuite bathroom. All five main-house bedrooms have air conditioning and closets; the main-floor king bedroom also has an ensuite bathroom and balcony/deck. Four full bathrooms include three with showers and tubs and one with a shower. Indoor facilities include open living and dining areas, a usable wood-burning fireplace, heating, hot water and a chef's kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, blender, dishes and cookware. Bed linens, bath towels, pool/beach towels, an iron and ironing board, washer and dryer are provided. Wi-Fi, a laptop-friendly workspace, a ping-pong table and Bluetooth/Sonos speakers are available. Outside are a heated in-ground gunite saltwater pool, a fenced backyard, a private tennis court with a basketball hoop and rackets, a large deck/patio, gas grill, outdoor shower, eight lounge chairs, beach chairs and patio furniture with a table, chairs and umbrella. Two adult bicycles and four children's bicycles are available. A beach is a stroll away. Outdoor furniture and equipment may be seasonal; inquire before booking outside Memorial Day to Labor Day. Spring cleaning and updates typically occur in late April or early May. The primary renter must be at least 30 years old. Smoking is not allowed. Additional persons require express approval. Events are prohibited; any proposed event, commercial activity, non-traditional use or rotating guest groups requires prior written host approval and may incur additional fees or an increased security deposit. Reservations require approval before confirmation. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $115.00 per reservation night. One end-of-stay cleaning is included. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. A refundable cash security deposit of $3,000 is required, governed by a separate agreement signed by the owner and guest before check-in. Balance payments by credit card are capped at $3,500; larger payments must be made by check, ACH or wire. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. Following cancellation, Marquis will use best efforts to work with the owner to reopen the dates, at the owner's discretion. If the original dates are rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement booking. If no replacement reservation is made, guests may use their original dates if payments meet the agreed schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before arrival.
