The house

The chalet has wood siding, a stone chimney and a vaulted, open-beam great room with floor-to-ceiling windows. Its open, fully equipped kitchen has a long counter with stools, and the dining table seats eight. Sliding glass doors connect the dining area to the deck, while an upstairs loft provides space for reading or using a laptop.

Six bedrooms are spread across the floors: two have king beds, three have queen beds, and one has two twin beds. All six bedrooms have TVs. There are four full bathrooms, and bedrooms include linens, towels, pillows and comforters.

Downstairs, the media room has a large screen, seating and a snack counter. Board games and two full sets of washers and dryers are provided. The rear deck has a hot tub surrounded by trees, a grill and a shaded outdoor dining table. The home also has air conditioning, heating, a fireplace, Wi-Fi, a Pack'n'Play and a high chair.

The Northstar lifts, ice rink, Village restaurants and shops are minutes away. Northstar's golf course and trail network are nearby, with a bike park operating in summer. Historic Downtown Truckee is about 15 minutes away, Palisades Tahoe roughly half an hour away, and Reno-Tahoe airport under an hour away. Kings Beach on Lake Tahoe's north shore and Donner Lake and its state park are additional nearby outings.
