House rules

The primary renter must be at least 25 years old. No additional guests beyond the maximum occupancy of 10 are permitted. Smoking is not allowed. Events are prohibited. Reservations involving events, commercial activities, other non-traditional uses or rotating groups require prior written host approval; additional fees and/or an increased security deposit may apply. Pets require owner approval and may incur additional fees and/or a security deposit. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $110.00 per night of the reservation. For reservations longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. Reservations require approval before confirmation. Unless otherwise stated, payments are non-refundable. Marquis will use best efforts to work with the owner to reopen canceled dates, at the owner's discretion. If the original dates are rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement reservation. If no replacement reservation is made, guests may use their original dates provided payments follow the agreed schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before arrival. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; payments over $3,500 must be made by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 in accidental damage protection, with coverage details in the booking agreement. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with efforts to provide advance notice and schedule showings during reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

Gerard Drive beaches are a two-minute walk away. The home is a block from the beach, near Accobonac Harbor and Gardiner’s Bay. The primary bedroom and another bedroom are upstairs; additional sleeping space is on the lower level. The pool house is not winterized and has no power or water in the off season. The pool is not fenced.
