House rules

The primary renter must be at least 30 years old. No persons beyond the maximum occupancy of eight are permitted. Smoking is not allowed. Events are prohibited; any proposed event, commercial activity, other non-traditional use or rotating guest groups requires prior written host approval and may incur additional fees and/or an increased security deposit. Reservations require approval before confirmation. Utility fees are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $60.00 per night of the reservation. One end-of-stay cleaning is included. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. On cancellation, Marquis will try to work with the owner to reopen and rebook the original dates, at the owner's discretion. If the dates are rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total original reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement reservation is collected. If no replacement reservation is made, guests may use their original dates if payments comply with the agreed schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before the reservation starts. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; payments over $3,500 must be made by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 in damage protection, subject to coverage details in the booking agreement. Pet approval and special uses may carry separate deposit requirements.

Getting there

The home is on Flying Point Beach, steps from a private beach. It is not handicap accessible and is not suitable for multiple families. The backyard is not fenced. Outside Memorial Day through Labor Day, inquire before booking about availability of outdoor furniture and equipment; spring cleaning and updates typically take place in late April or early May.
