The house

The lock-off retreat combines a one-bedroom condo and an adjoining studio, each with a private entrance, accommodating eight guests across the combined stay.

The condo sleeps four with a California king bed in the primary bedroom and a double sofa bed in the living area. Bay windows overlook forested surroundings, and the living area has a gas fireplace and smart TV. The kitchenette includes a sink, dishwasher, two-burner electric stovetop, microwave, coffee maker and mini-fridge. The primary bedroom has a smart TV and desk. The condo bathroom has a soaking tub and separate walk-in shower.

The studio sleeps four in two queen beds and includes a smart TV, desk, coffee maker and mini-fridge. Its bathroom has a tub/shower combination.

Shared resort facilities include two heated outdoor pools open year-round, a children's pool, a 150-foot waterslide, an outdoor hot tub and whirlpools. Other facilities include a spa, fitness center, two tennis courts, a seasonal ice-skating rink and an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. An on-site private chairlift provides access to Palisades Tahoe Ski Resort.
