## About the house

The Essex Inn is a Greek Revival home built in 1851, with a two-story brick outbuilding built in the 1840s. Guest accommodations include rooms in the main house and suites in the former kitchen and laundry building. A three-course breakfast is prepared each morning by the innkeepers. Guests can dine at 1710 Tavern across the street.

Pets allowed: Yes · Pet-friendly accommodations are identified for the Laundry Suite, Kitchen Suite, Downstairs Suite, and Upstairs Suite.

1710 Tavern is directly across the street. The Upstairs Suite is entirely on the second floor and is reached by a staircase from its private entrance. The Laundry Suite’s small downstairs couch can be used as a bed for younger children.
