# Deep Six Zen East Hampton, NY, United States (general area) ## About the house The round glass house was designed in 1967 with a paraboloid roof and sits on 1.5 acres backing onto woodland. Glass walls, skylights and high ceilings bring natural light into the living spaces. The living room has mid-century furniture, a grand piano and a wood-burning fireplace. Art, primarily photography, is displayed throughout the house. The main-floor bedrooms have air conditioning, televisions and closets. Bedroom 1 has one bed; Bedroom 2 has four bunk beds. The two bathrooms comprise one full bathroom with a shower and one half bathroom. The kitchen includes a double oven, dishwasher, five burners, microwave, cookware and utensils. There is a separate dining room with dining service and linens. The house surrounds a patio with a private heated outdoor pool, lounge furniture and a gas grill. A Zen garden and mature specimen trees surround the home, with no other houses visible. A telescope is available for use on the patio, with an astronomer available for guidance. Beach chairs, towels and bags are provided. Facilities include Wi-Fi, a laptop-friendly workspace, a washer and dryer, cable and smart television, heating, exercise equipment and a sound system. The hot tub is in the master bathroom and is unavailable during summer. A caretaker occupies a separate on-site area; the rental has its own entrance and exclusive access to the pool area. The property is not handicap accessible and is not suitable for multiple families or children aged four and under. A caretaker occupies a separate on-site area. Maximum occupancy is four; no additional guests are permitted. The primary renter must be at least 32 years old. Smoking is not allowed. Events are prohibited. Commercial activities, rotating groups and other non-traditional uses require prior written approval and may incur additional fees or an increased security deposit. Reservations require approval before confirmation. Pets require prior owner approval; the dog approval fee is $200 per dog per night, and additional fees or a security deposit may apply. Utilities are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $52.50 per reservation night. One light cleaning per eight nights and an end-of-stay cleaning are included; additional cleanings are available at the guest's expense. The master-bathroom hot tub is unavailable during summer. Inquire before booking outside Memorial Day–Labor Day about pool availability and outdoor furniture or equipment. Spring cleaning and updates typically occur in late April or early May. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. Following cancellation, reopening dates for rebooking is at the owner's discretion. If the original dates are rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less 20% of the original reservation total is issued after full payment for the replacement reservation. If the property is not rebooked, use of the original dates remains possible with payments up to date and written notice at least 72 hours before arrival. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; larger payments must be made by check, ACH or wire. Up to $25,000 of accidental-damage protection replaces a security deposit, subject to the booking agreement.
