# Contemporary Clearwater Beach Cottage East Hampton, NY, United States (general area) ## About the house The furnished home sleeps up to seven guests across two floors. Its open-plan interior has wide-plank hardwood floors, skylights, oversized bay windows and a double-height great room with a beamed ceiling. A second living area has a four-person table and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the backyard. The chef’s kitchen has stone counters, stainless-steel appliances, a stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and Breville espresso machine. The landscaped backyard includes a deck with pergola, outdoor dining furniture, a gas grill, three lounge chairs, an exterior Sonos system and a wood-burning fire pit. The private outdoor heated gunite saltwater pool has bluestone surrounds and a motorized cover. There is a hot-and-cold outdoor shower, a lit bluestone retaining wall and a fence around the yard. Two beach chairs and a cooler are provided. The first floor contains a king bedroom with deck access and a double/full bedroom with a crib. Upstairs, a queen bedroom and a twin bedroom share a full Jack and Jill bathroom with a shower. The first-floor full bathroom has a shower/tub combination. All four bedrooms have air conditioning and closets. A skylit shed contains a washer and dryer. Central air conditioning, heating, Wi-Fi, a smart television in the main living room, linens, bath towels, pool/beach towels and a yoga mat are provided. The nearby lifeguarded beach and marina offer water activities, a bocce court, playground and fishing. The homeowner manages on-the-ground operations and guest communication after booking confirmation. The home is across from the town beach and marina, steps from the water. Bedrooms are on the first and second floors. The home is not handicap accessible. Outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking about availability of outdoor furniture and equipment; spring cleaning and updates typically occur in late April or early May. The primary renter must be at least 27. Maximum occupancy is seven, with no additional persons permitted. Smoking is not allowed. Events are prohibited. Events, commercial activities, rotating guest groups and other non-traditional uses require prior written host approval and may incur additional fees and/or an increased security deposit. Utility fees are included, but guests pay for excessive usage. One end-of-stay cleaning is included; stays longer than seven nights require one cleaning per week at the guest’s expense. Reservations require approval before confirmation. The owner may show the home to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to arrange reasonable daytime hours. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 of damage protection, subject to the booking agreement. Unless otherwise stated, payments are non-refundable. If the owner agrees to reopen canceled dates and they are rebooked at the same or higher price, a refund less 20% of the original reservation total is issued after full payment for the replacement booking. If no replacement booking is made, guests may use the original dates if payments meet the agreed schedule and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before the reservation begins. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; larger payments must be by check, ACH or wire.
