# Cheviot Compound Southampton, NY, United States (general area) ## About the house Cheviot Compound accommodates up to 14 guests across bedrooms on the second floor, main floor and lower level. Open-plan living areas have floor-to-ceiling windows, sectionals on two levels and two large dining tables. The kitchen includes stainless steel appliances, a stove, oven, refrigerator, wine fridge, ice maker, dishwasher, microwave, coffee-making equipment, blender and cookware. A Sonos speaker system, televisions, heating, a usable fireplace, linens and towels are provided. The fitness studio includes an elliptical, treadmill, weight-training equipment and a stretching/yoga mat, with an attached sauna. Outdoors are a stone patio, cushioned furniture, six lounge chairs, a table with chairs and umbrella, a gas grill and gas fire pit. The heated gunite pool is private. The yard is fenced and surrounded by shrubs and trees. Two adult bicycles and three beach chairs are available. Bedrooms 1, 2, 3 and 5 each have a king bed, air conditioning, a full ensuite bathroom, streaming TV and walk-in closet. The primary renter must be at least 30 years old. Maximum occupancy is 14, with no additional guests permitted. Smoking is not allowed. Events are prohibited. Reservations involving events, commercial activities, other non-traditional uses or rotating guest groups require prior written host approval; additional fees and/or an increased security deposit may apply. Utility fees are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage, defined as utility costs over $150.00 per reservation night. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. If cancellation dates are reopened at the owner's discretion and rebooked for the same dates at the same or higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the original total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement booking is collected. If no replacement reservation is made, guests may use their original dates provided scheduled payments are complete and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before arrival. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; larger payments must be by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 of damage protection, subject to the booking agreement.
