The house

Casa Mimosa is a boutique bed and breakfast in a traditional Portuguese finca near São Brás de Alportel, in the Algarve countryside. Hosts Caroline and John live on site and have spent four years renovating the house. The walled garden is quiet and private, with a new swimming pool (June 2025), a sun terrace, a bar and lounge, and plenty of shaded seating. Rooms include a King Room with garden view and a Deluxe Double or Twin Room with pool view, each with air conditioning, a private bathroom and French doors opening onto a private patio. A wooden chalet adds a full kitchen and a sofa bed. A generous continental buffet breakfast with homemade jams is served daily. Free Wi-Fi, free secure parking with electric gates, and free bicycles are included. Faro Airport is about 25 minutes away and the beaches under 30 minutes.
