House rules
Occasional encounters with insects, lizards, rodents, reptiles, and other local wildlife can occur in this tropical setting. Pool maintenance requires access to the house on Mondays and Thursdays. Power outages and interruptions to the local spring water supply can occur. Lost or damaged keys or gate fobs are charged to the guest; the stated replacement cost for a gate fob is $70 USD.
Getting there
The house is in Uvita, Puntarenas. San José Airport is about 3.5 hours away by car, or a 20-minute flight from SJO to Quepos Airport followed by about 50 minutes by car. A 4x4 vehicle is not necessary. Dominical is about 25 minutes away by car, Quepos and Manuel Antonio about 45 minutes, and Marino Ballena National Park in Uvita about 8 minutes.
