The hotel serves a daily breakfast buffet and menu, with dishes freshly cooked to order. Homemade bread, pastries, cakes, biscuits, granola and marmalade are offered, with ingredients sourced from local independent suppliers. All rooms have luxury mattresses, towels, bathrobes, flat-screen TVs and hairdryers. Room trays include homemade biscuits and local artisan chocolate. The building is nearly 200 years old, listed and arranged over four floors, with three staircases and no lift.

Penzance railway station is about a 10-minute walk away or a couple of minutes by taxi. The main entrance is reached by eight wide granite steps with handrails on both sides. The building has four floors, three staircases and no lift.

Check-in is from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm; check-out is by 10:30 am. Luggage storage and use of the lounge are available for early arrivals or later departures. For cancellations less than 14 days before arrival, 75% of the accommodation price remains payable. Cyclists can store bikes in a safe, locked garage space overnight; storage and drying facilities are also available for cycling gear and shoes.
