The house

This spacious end-of-terrace home sits on a quiet, family-oriented residential street in Battersea and has a relaxed, welcoming feel throughout. Clapham Junction station is just a five-minute walk away, with trains to Victoria and Waterloo in around ten minutes. Battersea Park is close by, along with plenty of restaurants and shops and the iconic Battersea Power Station, while Chelsea lies just over the river. On the ground floor, a hallway leads into an airy, open-plan living space.

At one end, the book-lined sitting room is full of character, with a colourful rug and cosy fireside seating dressed with plump cushions. Opposite, an eye-catching collection of oriental art draws the eye towards the dining area, where French doors open onto the garden. To the right, the spacious, contemporary kitchen is fully equipped and filled with natural light, with a large window overlooking the small paved garden. Its outdoor eating area makes a lovely spot for alfresco meals.

Upstairs, the first floor features the main bathroom and a light-filled second bedroom. Decorated in soft, soothing tones and adorned with delicate artwork, it offers a double bed and two inviting armchairs. A further flight of stairs leads to the master bedroom and an additional bathroom. Simple yet full of character, the master bedroom features wall-mounted air conditioning and a thoughtful collection of antiques gathered by your host on their travels.

Between May and September, a fan is provided in each bedroom for added comfort.
