The house

Bathurst Lodge occupies a former hospital dating to the 1800s, with a wraparound verandah and restored heritage features. The main lounge has a TV, pool table and dedicated workspace, and a connecting formal lounge provides a second living area. The fireplaces are decorative only; ducted heating and cooling provide year-round comfort.

The country-style kitchen has modern appliances, a microwave, a Nespresso machine and generous bench space, adjoining a dining area with a large table. The covered outdoor patio has dining furniture, a BBQ, heaters, fans and a TV. A firepit is available from April to September; firewood packs can be pre-ordered at an additional cost by requesting them at booking.

The upstairs king bedroom has a TV, split-system air conditioning, a walk-in robe and an ensuite with a deep bath. Downstairs, the queen bedroom near the dining area has a TV and opens onto the verandah. The rear wing contains another king bedroom, a queen bedroom and a fifth bedroom with a king bed, two single beds and a TV. This wing also contains the main bathroom with a bath and dual vanities, plus a third bathroom with a shower. King beds can be split into singles on request for an additional $30 per bed, allowing a configuration of up to eight singles and two queens.

A full laundry includes a washer and dryer. Free on-site parking is available in the carport and driveway, with free street parking also available. The home has a private entrance and garden views. Mudgee CBD is within strolling distance for coffee, markets and shopping, and local wineries are a short drive away.
