House rules

The primary renter must be at least 30 years old. Smoking and pets are prohibited. Additional persons require express approval. Events are prohibited; any proposed events, commercial activities, rotating guest groups or other non-traditional uses require prior written host approval and may incur additional fees or an increased security deposit. Reservations require approval before confirmation. Utility fees are included, but guests are responsible for excessive usage. One end-of-stay cleaning is included. For stays longer than seven nights, one cleaning per week is mandatory at the guest's expense. Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. Following cancellation, Marquis may work with the owner to reopen the dates. If the original dates are rebooked at the same or a higher price, a refund less a penalty of 20% of the total reservation amount is issued after full payment for the replacement booking. If no replacement booking is made, guests may use their original dates provided payments are current and Marquis receives written notice at least 72 hours before the reservation begins. Credit-card balance payments are capped at $3,500; larger payments must be by check, ACH or wire. In lieu of a security deposit, the property has up to $25,000 of accidental damage protection, subject to the booking agreement. The owner may show the property to prospective renters or buyers, with advance notice and efforts to schedule reasonable daytime hours.

Getting there

Bay beaches are minutes away; ocean beaches are a short drive away. The backyard is not fenced. The property is not suitable for unrelated guests. Outside Memorial Day to Labor Day, inquire before booking about availability of outdoor furniture and equipment; spring cleaning and updates typically take place in late April or early May.
