House rules
Children are welcome. Smoking is not allowed. Stays of 14 nights or longer require mandatory mid-stay cleaning. Self check-in and check-out are available. Resort access is optional and most resort amenities require a separate daily fee paid directly to Hualalai Resort, not included in the rental rate. Guests have one opportunity to opt in; the entire household must participate for at least two consecutive days without breaks. Children aged four and under are complimentary in all seasons. Resort rates and policies may change without notice, and the resort team coordinates access after booking. Published daily resort access fees, per person, use the $ symbol: Shoulder Season adults $80.00 and children aged 5–13 $40.00, April 4–June 16, August 22–November 18 and November 28–December 17, 2027. Peak Season adults $125.00 and children aged 5–13 $63.00, January 4–February 11, February 20–March 11 and June 17–August 21, 2027. Peak of Peak Season adults $185.00 and children aged 5–13 $93.00, February 12–19, March 12–April 3 and November 19–27, 2027. Festive Season adults $250.00 and children aged 5–13 $125.00, December 18, 2027–January 3, 2028. During Peak of Peak Season, on-property reservation requests through Club Concierge open 60 days before the resort access start date. A Festive Concierge Desk opens in mid-November for Festive Season reservations. During Peak of Peak and Festive Seasons, residential and rental guests may use chaise lounges on lawns and beaches only, as directed by Pool Operations. These booking-window and chaise-lounge policies do not apply during Shoulder and Peak Seasons. Resort amenity access is limited during the Chairman’s Club event, November 30–December 5, 2026, and the Mitsubishi golf tournament, January 16–24, 2027. Contact Hualalai Resort directly for details; access is controlled by the resort. Beach Tree Pool is closed September 8–November 15 for repairs and enhancements. Beach Tree Restaurant remains open for lunch and dinner with beachfront food and beverage service. Guests with paid resort access may use the seven other resort swimming facilities, and guests may use their own beach chair from the home at the shoreline.
Getting there
A car is recommended but not necessary. Kona International Airport is minutes away; the Kona Coffee belt is a short scenic drive. The single-level layout may not be fully wheelchair accessible. Guests needing ramps may contact the management team to coordinate receipt of independently purchased ramps at their own expense. Extensive Kona and Kohala road closures during the IRONMAN race on October 9, 2027 may affect driving routes. Down bedding is used exclusively and alternatives are not available.
