The house

This 3,572-square-foot residence, redesigned by Henderson Design Group, accommodates eight guests. The open-plan great room has vaulted ceilings, custom artwork and floor-to-ceiling pocket doors opening onto the lanai. Indoor dining seats eight. The kitchen includes Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances, two sinks, granite counters and an island with bar seating, plus a dishwasher, coffee and espresso makers, wine fridge and other cooking equipment.

Outside, the lanai provides a BBQ, dining and lounge seating beside a private infinity-edge pool and spa with ocean and sunset views. Tropical landscaping surrounds a grassy lawn. Pool heating to 78 °F is complimentary; higher temperatures incur an additional charge.

Each bedroom has a king bed, central air conditioning, a ceiling fan and an ensuite bathroom. The primary suite has ocean views, a private lanai with daybed, hidden TV lift, soaking tub, walk-in shower, dual vanity and outdoor shower garden. Bedroom 2 has ocean views, a private lanai and a tub/shower combination; its king bed can be converted to two twin beds on request. Bedroom 3 has a walk-in shower and outdoor shower garden. The detached fourth suite has a private entrance, seating area, kitchenette, hidden TV lift, soaking tub, dual vanity, walk-in shower and outdoor shower garden.

The home includes high-speed Wi-Fi, Sonos audio, televisions, a washer and dryer with detergents, toiletries and linens. Beach equipment includes chairs, snorkel sets, boogie boards and coolers. Two four-seat golf carts are provided for resort use. Children are welcome, and a pack and play is available. Free parking and a garage are provided.

Optional paid Hualālai Resort access includes opportunities for golf, sports and spa facilities, tennis, cultural activities, children’s programs, resort swimming facilities and beachfront dining, subject to resort registration, access policies and restrictions. Concierge services, local guest support, experience coordination and a guided orientation on request are included with the rental. Kailua-Kona’s dining, shopping and cultural attractions are a short drive away; Kua Bay and Makalawena are nearby beaches.
