House rules

The booking guest must be at least 25. House parties, weddings and receptions are prohibited; violations require all guests to vacate immediately. Pets and emotional support animals are prohibited; undisclosed animals brought without approval incur a $500 fine per pet. This is a smoke-free home; smoking violations incur a $500 cleaning fee plus responsibility for smoking-related damage beyond that fee. Respect neighbors and keep noise levels down; noise violations may incur fines. Speakers and sound systems are not provided. Fireplaces are not for guest use. Trailers and motorcycles are prohibited inside Wild Dunes. Early check-in and late checkout services are unavailable from May through September. Beach chairs and toys are not included; reservations of 4–28 nights receive a $250 VaykGear beach-gear credit, with gear reserved after booking. Bookings over 30 days require a security deposit charged after booking. Wild Dunes golf, tennis, spa services and other recreation must be booked separately.

Getting there

The beach is a short drive away. The main floor is elevated above street level. Docks, shopping and dining at Isle of Palms Marina are a short walk away. Boat parking uses a slip shared with another boat; boats must enter via the Intracoastal Waterway, and trailer parking must be arranged outside Wild Dunes. Locally rented street-legal golf carts are permitted; carts cannot be brought from home because trailers are prohibited. The closest golf-cart parking to the beach inside Wild Dunes is on Summer Dunes Lane and Island Cottage Lane. Coastal erosion and high tides can temporarily make some or all beach areas inaccessible; these natural changes do not qualify for refunds or relocation. Nearby construction may cause disruption, and relocation is not offered for unforeseen construction.
