The beach is a five-minute walk away, with beach access at Shipyard Beach Club. The Shipyard beach shuttle operates from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend. Wristbands are required; four are provided with the rental. Additional wristbands are available for purchase, and guests must purchase replacements for lost or misplaced wristbands. A maximum of three car passes is permitted per reservation. Nearby amenities include Shipyard Racquet Club, Sonesta Resort, a bay/sound, marina, pickleball, playground and restaurants.

Smoking is not allowed. One pet weighing no more than 40 lb is allowed, subject to a $300.00 nonrefundable pet fee plus tax. Electric bikes are not allowed in Shipyard Plantation. Two car passes are included; an optional third pass can be purchased. Guests are responsible for purchasing replacement shuttle wristbands if the originals are lost or misplaced. The operator’s Guest Connect contains check-in instructions, lock codes, Wi-Fi codes and other stay information.
