The house

11 Bakehouse Yard accommodates up to four guests in two bedrooms, with three beds and one bathroom. Guests have access to the entire cottage. Facilities include a bathtub, bed linens, a coffee maker and a carbon monoxide detector.

The cottage is within walking distance of shops, independent boutiques, pubs, restaurants, cafés and bars. Pier Road leads to West Cliff Beach and the swing bridge over the River Esk. Across the bridge, the East bank has medieval streets, shops and restaurants, with the 199 steps leading to the Church of Saint Mary and Whitby Abbey nearby.

Whitby train station is less than half a mile away, with a taxi rank nearby. Local buses include the X4 for Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes, the X93 for Scarborough, and route 95 for villages including Grosmont and Lealholm. A parking scratch card provides free parking in the W zones during your stay.
